FAQ

What is in-person counseling?

Counseling in person is the most traditional form of talk therapy. You attend sessions in person for standard talk therapy or for walk-and-talk therapy at the provider’s office. This is an excellent choice for someone who is seeking out a connection with their provider, or looking for a safe space outside of their home to process life events. Some clients find it to be more supportive of an environment where they can be in the room with their therapist and ultimately feel more invested in their treatment.

In this setting, it is also more of an ideal scenario for the counselor to observe nonverbal communication, such as expressions, habits, and the way you emphasize portions of the information you are speaking.
